So what I have been up to lately? Well let's see-- Thursday I got some school stuff done, aka changed my marketing class to a management class, then I FINALLY got a mobile. So if anyone wants my number, shoot me an email. please. after that, we met up with Diannekins and got dinner at a pub! Then I went with her and met up with her parents/grandparents (who were on my plane over, did I mention that?) and had dessert. That was good. Went back home and finally went to bed.
Friday the three of us went out and found the fruit market off oxford street and got lots of food for less denaro. Mmm fruit. We hung out at Caffe Nero awhile and I had this "Milano Hot Chocolate" that was really a bunch of chocolate bars melted....so basically it was quite amazing.
After that I met Diane at Leichster Scquare and we got dinner in Chinatown, ate some dessert (I know, I'm bad) back at the Square, then met her family to see MARY POPPINS.
Oh my goodness, it was so so so good. Seriously. And be happy, it's opening on Broadway next month so everyone can go see it very soon. I can't even describe it-- I guess I could say it's a wonderful mix between the movie and the books. It's that good. And yes Mom, I did get you something from it.
What else? Oh yeah, that morning I had a brief meeting with the Lmet lady about the internship, so it looks like next week I'll meet Mike from Nettwerk and hopefully start interning soon. Apparently most interns do about 1-1.5 days of interning a week-- considering I only have to go to class 2 days a week now, it looks like I might have alot of time to get homework/run around town. Which will be nice-- it's kind of stressful getting acquainted in a new city, so it helps that there's not much of an academic stress.
Saturday was pretty good. The three of us actually took part in a "school" activity by taking the free boat to Greenwich for the day! It was pretty nifty, we hung out with some Lithuanians we met that also go to our university, as well as some guy from Pennsylvania. The trip was beautiful and I highly recommend everyone to take a boat cruise if you ever visit London, just because the views are magnificant.
In Greenwich we basically explored the Maritime Museum, hiked up the hill to watch the ball thingy drop, and then got traditional pies (cornish pasty in my case) for lunch. Quite quite tasty. Wandered around a market and acquired some very sugary things-- such as dark chocolate covered ginger. Oh yeeeeah.
We finally headed home as we were exhausted, and basically hung around. Wnet to a pub with one of our neighbors, who was quite nice.
Anyway, so today is just blustery, but I did go running a bit, some of it with Diane! Now bethany and I are on holloway road near school in some random cafe that is
playing some sort of mexican music or what not...except this isn't a mexican restaurant.
Classes start this week, and hopefully I'll begin the internship soon! Hope everyone's well.
