100 MPH

So I haven't updated in a week as I didn't do anything really the first part of the weekend, but then got so distracted later on that I haven't had time to properly write one!

Let's see. Sunday we went to Camden Market (which is right next to where I intern) and ran around. That pretty much wore us out as Camden is huuuuge. I really can't remember if we did anything else on Sunday. Ha...

Monday and Tuesday were my first days of interning at Nettwerk, however! It was great, I'm quite excited about working there. Thus far I've done anything from scouring zillionz of papers for music reviews to picking up SEVERAL magazines and looking in those for the reviewer's email address. Bunch of online work too (I get to use an iBook at work, cough cough). There's a great group of people there, especially since it's a small office (8 people or so?). Totally laid back and just...really nice. I kind of wish I could intern there more than two days a week!

Other than that? Well, my friend Laryssa came in town yesterday, so that's quite fun. We went on a field trip with my theatre class to the Globe, and it was gorgeous (I can't believe I FORGOT my camera! grrr). After that we walked along the Thames a bit (mmm roasted peanuts anyone?) and then came home to acquire groceries.

Classes are fine (quite easy and enjoyable occasionally) and I'm about to book all of my weekend trips....meaning I'll be poor very shortly. I'm starting to become used to the currency though...which could be bad. Par example, when a pub has a burger, fries, and a drink for JUST £5, I get reeeeally excited. (that's TEN DOLLARS, people...I think it's cheaper at Chili's to order that) So I'm getting a little less frugal about money-- even though all I spend it on is food, and we don't eat out that much!

It could be because I've had to suddenly spend large chunks of it (monthly travelcard, wireless at starbucks which is way overpriced, groceries, etc) that I'm feel this way. And now I'll make it worse with these trips to book! Ah well. I'll post my itenerary once I know it.

What else? Hmmm. I ran 5 miles on Tuesday (you'd be happy to know that, Dad) and it was a great route-- rather surreal really.

Speaking of running, I haven't eaten yet and class is soon. So I should probably consume the squashed pb sandwich in my bag before Management starts.
